OPERATIONS ATTENDANT
Position Type: Part time and Full time positions are available

General Duties and Responsibilities
Building operations attendants are a key resource within the Iceplex team, and are pivotal in the successful operation of our facility. Building operations attendants are required to be 18 years of age and will work closely with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction is assured, while abiding by Iceplex policies. The Operations Attendant reports to the Facilities Director and Operations Director.
Essential Functions
- Night and/or day shift Ice Maintenance, which includes driving an ice resurfacer (Zamboni).
- Assist in cleaning when needed
- Following Operational Safety Procedures at all times
- Perform other duties assigned by the Director of Operations from time to time

HOCKEY INSTRUCTOR
Hourly Wage: $18.00 to $21.00
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a part-time position, and hours of work and days fluctuate with evening and weekend hours are required.
The Hockey Instructor position at the Iceplex must have a broad knowledge of the USA Hockey curriculum for both adults and children. The instructor is responsible for teaching the basic fundamentals to adults and children in a supportive environment for the Hockey 101 and Never Ever League programs.
Essential Functions
- Arriving prepared and on time.
- Providing hockey instruction to the USA hockey standards.
- Making every effort to cover all skills in the level you are teaching.
- Assisting Skating Director with determining placement for all skaters.
- Evaluating students at the end of every session.
- Encourage appropriate behavior of skaters.
- Role modeling appropriate behavior by:
- Dressing appropriately and professionally
- Respecting facilities, students, and staff.

Qualifications

SKATING INSTRUCTOR
Hourly Wage: $18.00 to $21.00
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a part-time position, and hours of work and days fluctuate with evening and weekend hours are required. An eight week commitment is required to coincide with each program session offered (program runs for eight weeks per session, six sessions per year).
The Learn to Skate Instructor at the Iceplex requires a strong skating background and a passion for teaching. The instructor will provide fundamental skating instruction to adults and children within a supportive learning environment under the guidance of the Program Co-Directors.
Essential Functions
- Arriving prepared and on time.
- Providing figure skating instruction to youth and adults according the the USFSA Learn to Skate USA standards.
- Making every effort to cover all skills in the level you are teaching.
- Assisting Skating Director with determining placement for all skaters.
- Evaluating students at the end of every eight week session.
- Encourage appropriate behavior of skaters.
- Role modeling appropriate behavior by:

CUSTODIAL

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: Full Time & Nonexempt Part Time positions available. Hours of work and days may fluctuate, with evening and weekend hours required for both positions.
General Duties and Responsibilities: The Environmental Position at the Iceplex is responsible for cleaning the facility, removing debris, and keeping common areas neat and tidy.
Essential Functions
- Clean and supply designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, restroom cleaning, locker room cleaning, etc.)
- Carry out heavy cleaning tasks and special projects from time to time
- Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
- Stock and maintain supply rooms
- Cooperate with the rest of the staff
- Follow all health and safety regulations

CUSTOMER SERVICE REP
Hourly Wage: $16.00 & Up
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a part-time position, and hours of work and days fluctuate with evening and weekend hours required.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
The Customer Service Representative position at the Iceplex must have a broad knowledge of the programs and services we offer. They strive to make the customer experience one which the customer will not soon forget, in a positive way, by offering solutions to any issue that may arise with confidence and diligence.
Essential Functions
- Providing customers with prompt, knowledgeable responses to their questions and issues
- A broad, sweeping knowledge of the programming we offer at the Iceplex
- Ability to learn our Point of Sale system, and use it proficiently
- Basic accounting; taking payments, updating accounts, etc.
- Proper upkeep of the front lobby and customer service desk area
- Completion of any other side work assigned by management

SKATE RENTAL/SKATE GUARD
Title Code: Seasonal (Part-Time)
Status: Non-Exempt
Hourly Wage: $15.50 & Up
General Duties and Responsibilities
Skate Guards and Skate Rental Associates are responsible for providing supervision and enforcing all rules and regulations during public skate sessions and checking wristbands as patrons enter the rink to indicate payment of public session fees. Be of assistance in the event of an injury (ex: bandaging, providing ice, filling out accident reports). Maintain an organized and in good order skate inventory at all times.
Qualification Requirements
- Must be 15 years of age
- Must be proficient ice skater
- Prior ice rink experience is preferred

SCOREKEEPER
Title Code: Seasonal (Part-Time)
Status: Non-Exempt
Wage: $20.00 per game
General Duties and Responsibilities
The Scorekeeper position handles ice hockey game scoring for the Iceplex Adult Hockey League (recreational leagues for adult hockey players). Scorekeepers play a crucial role for game operations, by assisting the League Director on verifying team roster check-in prior to the start of each game, operate the game clock and report goals/penalties on a paper scoresheet. Games take place throughout the calendar year, on various evenings each week, providing an opportunity for part time/flexible scheduling for interested parties.
Qualification Requirements
- Must be 16 years of age
- Understanding of ice hockey is preferred (but not required)
Competencies
- Multi-tasking (ability to watch a hockey game, fill out paper game scoresheet, and operate a simple electronic hockey scoreboard)
- Excellent communication skills
Physical Demands
- Must be able to sit for extended period of time (should not exceed 1.5 hours at a time)
