Minor Waiver

ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF INHERENT RISKS AND FACILITY RULES

I, the undersigned, being the parent or legal guardian of the minor participant named below, acknowledge, appreciate, and agree to the following regarding my child's participation in on-ice activities at the Tim Hortons Iceplex:

  1. Acknowledgment of Facility Role * I acknowledge that Tim Hortons Iceplex operates strictly as a venue provider and is not the sponsor, organizer, instructor, or supervisor of the event or activity my child is attending.
  • I understand that the applicable third-party event organizer, host, or sponsor ("Group Organizer") is solely responsible for the supervision, instruction, and management of my child during this activity.
  1. Express Assumption of Inherent Risks * I acknowledge that ice skating and ice hockey are hazardous activities.
  • The physical nature of ice sports involves severe, inherent risks that cannot be eliminated regardless of the care taken.
  • I expressly acknowledge that these inherent risks include, but are not limited to: unpredictable falls on the hard, slippery ice surface; high-speed collisions with other skaters, the boards, or the goalposts; being struck by errant flying pucks, sticks, or equipment; and the physical exertion of the sport.
  • On behalf of myself and my minor child, I fully comprehend and voluntarily accept all inherent risks associated with my child's participation in this activity.
  1. Rules of Conduct * I agree that my child will comply with all facility safety rules and the instructions of the Group Organizer.
  • I understand that reckless behavior, intentional misconduct, or failure to wear required protective equipment is strictly prohibited and falls outside the scope of acceptable participation.
