ELITE PROSPECTS TAKE THE ICE: ROC CITY GIRLS FEST WEEKEND 2 KICKS OFF AT TIM HORTONS ICEPLEX

Following a high-energy opening weekend of youth competition, the marquee second phase of the Premier Ice Prospects ROC City Girls Fest takes over Rochester starting tomorrow, Friday, November 6 through Sunday, November 8, 2026.

Headquartered right here at Tim Hortons Iceplex, Weekend 2 shifts focus to high-stakes national exposure, welcoming 108 premier 14U, 16U, and 19U teams from across North America. With dozens of athletes actively pursuing NCAA Division I and top collegiate hockey commitments, the weekend serves as one of the premier scouting stages in girls’ hockey.

National Competition on a Major Collegiate Stage

The competitive field for Weekend 2 highlights the national reputation of the ROC City Girls Fest. Teams have traveled to Rochester from coast to coast, representing 15 different U.S. states alongside a powerhouse international contingent from Canada:

  • United States: Alaska, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Vermont

  • Canada: 27 premier programs traveling from Ontario

With 108 elite squads competing across the 14U, 16U, and 19U brackets, scouts and spectators will witness some of the fastest, most skilled hockey in the country.

“After a fantastic opening weekend that showcased the incredible grassroots energy of girls’ hockey, Weekend 2 brings a whole new level of speed, skill, and intensity,” said Brian Oliver, Tournament Director for Premier Ice Prospects. “Featuring 108 elite teams across our 14U, 16U, and 19U divisions draws some of the most dedicated players and top coaching minds in the game, alongside widespread collegiate scouting interest. Rochester continues to be the ultimate host community, giving these future college stars the premier facilities and competition they deserve.”

Powering Monroe County’s Local Economy

Beyond the elite play on the ice, the ROC City Girls Fest delivers a substantial economic boost to the Greater Rochester region.

Weekend 2 represents the single largest economic driver of the entire two-weekend tournament, generating an estimated $4.94 million in total local business sales and booking 4,134 hotel room nights across Monroe County.

Across all three days, Rochester will welcome 5,670 total participants and visitors, including 5,355 out-of-town overnight guests. This pushes the combined two-weekend economic impact past $7.66 million.

“Welcoming the 14U, 16U, and 19U divisions is always a proud highlight of our season at Tim Hortons Iceplex,” said Chris Woodworth, Executive Director of Tim Hortons Iceplex. “This historic tournament showcases the incredible ascent of women’s sports while delivering a powerful economic surge for Monroe County. Generating nearly $5 million in local economic activity in a single weekend supports our hospitality workers, restaurants, and hotels during what is traditionally a slower travel period. It is an honor to serve as tournament headquarters for an event of this caliber.”
