ROC City Girls Fest Returns to Tim Hortons Iceplex, Injecting Over $7.6 Million into Greater Rochester
Tim Hortons Iceplex is proud to welcome back the ROC City Girls Fest, one of the nation’s premier competitive showcases for elite youth female hockey players. Spanning two consecutive weekends—October 30 through November 1 (8U, 10U, and 12U) and November 6 through November 8, 2026 (14U and 19U)—the multi-sheet showcase solidifies Greater Rochester’s standing as an elite hub for girls’ sports.
Beyond elite competition on the ice, the event serves as a major driver for local sports tourism. According to the Destinations International Event Impact Calculator, this year’s ROC City Girls Fest will inject an estimated $7.66 million in total business sales into the Monroe County economy across both weekends.
The tournament will welcome a combined 8,775 attendees—including 8,295 overnight visitors and 480 local attendees—filling more than 6,400 hotel room nights across the region.

A National Stage for Elite Girls’ Hockey
Sanctioned and run by Premier Ice Prospects (PIP), the ROC City Girls Fest attracts elite travel programs from coast to coast. This year’s field features teams traveling to Rochester from 15 U.S. states—including Alaska, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Vermont.
The competition also brings a strong international contingent, featuring 20 teams from Ontario, Canada.
“The ROC City Girls Fest has grown into a cornerstone event on the North American girls’ hockey calendar,” said Brian Oliver, Tournament Director for Premier Ice Prospects. “Seeing teams travel from as far away as Alaska, California, and Texas, alongside our strong contingent from Canada and the Northeast, underscores how special this showcase is for player development and collegiate exposure. Rochester’s passion for the sport and first-class venue support provide these dedicated athletes with an unforgettable competitive stage.”
Driving Monroe County’s Tourism Economy
Events of this scale demonstrate the vital role sports tourism plays across Monroe County. Weekend 1 (8U through 12U) is projected to generate over $2.71 million in total business sales, while Weekend 2 (14U through 19U) will inject an additional $4.94 million into regional establishments.
Visiting families, coaches, and scouts will patronize Monroe County’s hotels, local dining establishments, retail stores, and service businesses throughout both weekends, supporting over 2,400 direct and indirect jobs in the local hospitality sector.
“Hosting the ROC City Girls Fest is an absolute honor for Tim Hortons Iceplex and our entire community,” said Chris Woodworth, Executive Director of Tim Hortons Iceplex. “This historic, long-standing tournament has become an essential tradition for our facility and an extraordinary driver of sports tourism for Monroe County. Generating over $7.6 million in economic impact and welcoming more than 8,000 overnight guests provides a tremendous boost to our local hotels, restaurants, and small businesses. We take great pride in delivering a world-class experience to these elite athletes, coaches, and families every year.”
